Our Story

Hi, I'm Mel the owner/operator of Suksma. Thank you for taking the time to visit our store. I launched Suksma in early 2021 as a means of creating business for the beautiful people of Bali who suffered terribly through the pandemic with no tourists.
In May 2022 I was finally able to travel to Bali to meet the artisans who design and create our beautiful range of products, many of whom remain committed to providing training for other local people to enable them to return to their villages with a means of making an income.
Though international borders are now open, I remain committed to helping the Balinese community by bringing a carefully curated selection of eco friendly, sustainable and ethically crafted homewares and lifestyle products to Australia and beyond.
Every piece you purchase from Suksma has been handmade with love, and brings with it an added sincere and heartfelt thank you from myself and the people of Bali for your help.
