I launched Suksma in early 2021 as a means of creating business for the beautiful people of Bali who suffered terribly through the pandemic with no tourists. Prior to the pandemic tourism accounted for 80% of the island’s economy, thus the effects were devastating. When international borders opened I travelled to Bali to meet the artisans who design and create our beautiful range of products. Many of them are committed to providing training for other local people to enable them to return to their villages with a means of making an income.

I have called my business Suksma, in Balinese this means thank you. Every piece you purchase from my store has been handmade with love, and brings with it an added sincere and heartfelt thank you from myself and the people of Bali for your help.
